The Experiential Teaching Opportunities Program (xTOP) seeks to sustain and support its mission of promoting experiential teaching and learning opportunities across the MIT campus. xTOP grows the whole MIT student, mind, hand, and heart through supported, hands-on teaching experiences. By coordinating marketing efforts, offering pedagogical support and training, and facilitating program collaboration, TOP aims to build capacity for over 25 existing teaching opportunity programs, and make it easier for MIT students to participate in experiential teaching opportunities that support them as they develop the skills they need to be impactful and passionate teachers in their communities. This proposal outlines the importance and impact of xTOP, as well as the resources required to sustain and expand the program.
