What you need to know
The Committee on Curricula (CoC) acts with power for the Faculty on proposals to create, revise, or remove undergraduate subjects and undergraduate curricula. Additionally, it reviews student applications for double majors and petitions for exceptions to the General Institute Requirements (GIRs), including Restricted Electives in Science and Technology (REST) and the Institute Laboratory Requirement. It serves as the standing advisory body to the Registrar. The formal description of the Committee’s responsibilities is defined in Section 1.73.3 of the Rules & Regulations of the Faculty.
