What you need to know
Equivalent subjects are those in which a student may receive credit for only one subject in the group.
With the approval of the appropriate faculty committee, an equivalent relationship may also be established between permanent subjects that meet with each other but are offered with different frequency. In such cases, the description for each subject in the cluster should include the following the statement: “Meets with [subject number] when offered concurrently.” This language does not appear in cross-listed, EQSR, and School-wide elective listings because equivalency is implicit.

Note the credit statement, "Credit cannot also be received for 11.205," indicating that a student may receive credit for 11.188 or 11.205, but not both.
