What you need to know
School-wide electives (SWE) are cross-listings of two or more departments, normally within the School of Engineering (SOE). Each department has its own subject number under which students can register. Only the owner, or master department, may propose changes in Subject Proposal Management, but all participating departments, as well as SOE, must approve the changes before they are reviewed and given final approval.
