LECTURE HALL 54-100

January 2022 to January 2024

After a 2-year renovation, 54-100 returned to service for the spring 2024 semester. Improvements to the 298-seat lecture hall included a new multi-projector A/V system, lecture capture technology, energy-efficient LED lighting, improved HVAC and climate control, motorized sliding chalkboards, motorized sun and blackout window shades, acoustical enhancements, and fixed tablet armchairs with electrical service at each seat.

SCHWARZMAN COLLEGE OF COMPUTING

LECTURE HALL 45-230

A 250-seat lecture hall entered service for the spring 2024 semester. It features a multi-projector A/V system, lecture capture technology, energy-efficient LED lighting, climate control, sliding chalkboards, acoustical enhancements, and fixed tablet armchairs with electrical service at each seat.

ACTIVE LEARNING CLASSROOM 45-102

A 60-seat flat-floor classroom entered service for the spring 2024 semester. The room features a multi-projector A/V system, lecture capture technology, energy-efficient LED lighting, sliding and fixed chalkboards, acoustical enhancements, and student tables on wheels to quickly reconfigure the classroom layout.

CLASSROOMS 14N-325 and 24-307

June 2020 to September 2020

The renovation of classrooms 14N-325 and 24-307 included new wall, ceiling, and floor treatments; a laser projector A/V system with HDMI inputs; energy-efficient LED lighting; improved HVAC and climate control; sliding chalkboards (24-307); motorized sun and blackout window shades; and acoustical enhancements. New student tables on wheels and lightweight chairs allow for quick reconfigurations of a classroom layout (24-307).

CLASSROOMS 24-112, 24-115, AND 24-121

June 2019 to August 2019

The renovation of classrooms 24-112, 24-115, and 24-121 featured new student tables on wheels and lightweight chairs to allow for quick reconfigurations of a classroom layout. Each room received new wall, ceiling, and floor treatments; a laser projector A/V system with HDMI inputs; energy-efficient LED lighting; improved HVAC and climate control; sliding chalkboards; motorized sun and blackout window shades; and acoustical enhancements.

Lecture ROOM 37-212

August 2018 to January 2019

The renovation of Lecture Room 37-212 included the installation of power-equipped student tables and swing-away chairs, improving sightlines and increasing the room's capacity from 64 to 74. The room also received new wall, ceiling, and floor treatments; a multi-projector A/V system; energy-efficient LED lighting; improved HVAC and climate control; sliding chalkboards; motorized sun and blackout window shades; and acoustical enhancements.


2018

Lecture Hall 1-190

December 2017 to August 2018

The renovation of Lecture Hall 1-190 included a redesigned layout with tiered seating to improve sightlines. The room received new wall, ceiling, and floor treatments; a multi-projector A/V system; energy-efficient LED lighting; improved HVAC and climate control; sliding chalkboards; motorized sun and blackout window shades; acoustical enhancements; and new, fixed tablet armchairs.


2017

Lecture Room 35-225

January to August 2017

The renovation of 35-225 included new flooring, walls, and ceiling finishes; new windows and motorized blackout and sun window shades; a redesigned layout to improve student sightlines; fixed tables and chairs with electrical outlets at each seat; sliding chalkboards; video projectors for single and multiscreen presentations; energy-efficient LED lighting and new HVAC system; and wireless network access.


2016

Rooms 5-232 and 36-372

January 2016

Renovations to Rooms 5-232 and 36-372 included new walls, floors, ceilings, lighting, and HVAC systems; energy-efficient LED lighting, motorized sun and blackout window shades, LCD video projection with HDMI and VGA inputs, motorized projection screens, single ceiling-mounted video projectors, and wireless network access. Room 5-232 additionally received a new seminar table and chairs; 36-372 received sliding chalkboards.

Classrooms in Building 2 and Room E52-164

Summer 2013 to January 2016

This renovation project encompassed ten classrooms and two lecture facilities. One included Lecture Hall 2-190 and ten classrooms: 2-131, 2-132, 2-135, 2-136, 2-139, 2-142, 2-143, 2-146, 2-147, and 2-151. The second included Lecture Room E52-164.

The classrooms received new walls, floors, ceilings, and HVAC systems; sliding chalkboards; energy-efficient LED lighting; new windows and motorized sun and blackout window shades; and video projectors. Rooms 2-131, 2-142, 2-190, and E52-164 received lecture capture technology. In Rooms E52-164 and 2-190 we added tiered seating, electrical outlets at each seat, and sliding chalkboards.

Classrooms in Building 4 and Lecture Hall 26-100

Summer 2016

Four classrooms in Building 4 (4-148, 4-152, 4-158, 4-162, and 4-364) were renovated. Updates included new walls, carpeting, ceilings, and HVAC systems; LCD video projection screens and document cameras; energy-efficient LED lighting; sliding whiteboards; improved acoustics at doors, windows, and ceilings; motorized sun and blackout window shades; and new tablet armchairs.

Renovations to Lecture Hall 26-100 included new fixed seating; acoustic wall panels, paint, and flooring; chalkboard and lecture capture lighting; and demo tables and podium.
