What you need to know

The Committee on Curricula (CoC) reviews proposals to create, revise, or terminate minor programs. Proposals to establish new interdisciplinary minors must be approved by both the CoC and the Committee on the Undergraduate Program (CUP).

Proposals for new minors must be led by a MIT Faculty member and submitted online to the Registrar’s Office. In your proposal, you will be asked to provide basic information about the minor program, a description of the curriculum, and letters of support. Preliminary proposals should be submitted to the CoC by mid-October. Final proposals are no later than the end of the fall term for potential implementation during the next academic year.

The Committee(s) will review the proposals and in that process, may consult with other entities for feedback on specific elements.
