This project introduces "Moving Through Change: Leadership, the Body, and Transforming Complex Systems"—an experimental MIT course integrating movement and leadership education to help students develop the capacities needed to navigate complex environments. By engaging with two interwoven case studies—the classroom as a social system and the body as a biological system—students will refine their ability to diagnose, interpret, and influence systemic change including facilitating difficult conversations. Through movement and leadership laboratories, students will cultivate interoceptive intelligence, resilience, and strategic awareness. Each class will be introduced as a stand-alone 1-hour workshop to pilot combining movement and traditional leadership that that when combined will create a course aims to advance embodied learning approaches equipping students with the internal and external tools to drive meaningful transformation.
