The proposal builds upon a current Community Values Exercise (CVE) program that focuses on identifying community values through discussions. To expand the CVE, the program will enhance facilitator training, engage a storyteller to help communities create compelling narratives, conduct community workshops for undergraduate residents, and produce a book documenting the history of residential communities and identified values. Additionally, each community would create a visual, audio, or audio-visual product as a constant reminder of their shared interests that will remain as the guiding principles of their community. The outcome is a comprehensive co-curricular program that aligns with MIT's Strategic Action Plan and addresses the priority of cultivating connection, purpose, and individual freedom.
